Care Instructions

A 2-layer garment is usually a garment with a loose lining.

Before washing

Close all buttons, zippers, buckles and velcro. Remove detachable parts, such as synthetic fur and belt. This is to avoid wear and tear, both of these parts but also the rest of the garment. Wash the garment with inside out to reduce wear on the outer fabric. Read the garment's care instruction carefully.

During washing

Wash garment separately the first time. Use a gentle detergent when it is gentler on the garment, particularly for its resistance to water. Avoid fabric softener as this can have a negative impact on the garment's water resistance and can contribute to over-fertilization of our lakes. Choose washing programs and washing temperature according to the garment's care instruction. When hand wash, do not let the garment soak.

After washing

Remove the garment from the washing machine immediately after completed washing program. This is for avoiding color to dye to other parts of the garment. Wring out the garment if necessary to avoid water streaks on the garment. Avoid tumble-drying as this unnecessary wear on the function of the garment. To restore the garment's resistance to water the garment shall be heat-treated after washing. This is done for example by ironing the garment on low, dry heat. Drying clothes in a drying cabinet is not recommended by us because there is often very high temperature in a drying cabinet. It is possible to dry our clothes in a drying cabinet, but not warmer than the recommended washing temperature. That means that 40°C washing temperature is also 40°C during drying in a drying cabinet.

As our garments are impregnated from the beginning it is usually enough to reactivate impregnation with heat after washing. Depending on how much wear the garment has been exposed to, it is sometimes necessary to re-impregnate the garment to keep the garment water resistant. We have no impregnation preparations that we recommend over another. In the most well-stocked sports and adventure stores, you can find suitable impregnation.

In order to preserve our environment and even the clothes, do not wash unnecessarily!
