Boardman is a real Didrikson's classic for kids. The fully waterproof and windproof rain set with welded seams is made of Didrikson's’ very own Galon®. The entire rain set has a warm, comfortable fleece lining and visible reflective details all around. The jacket has a detachable fleece-lined hood which can be adjusted with velcro fasteners. The jacket has a full-length zip front with a protective placket. Elastic cuffs and hem, and partly lined with Galon® to prevent water from seeping in. Inside the jacket is a name tag with space for several names. The pants have extra reinforcement on the knees and a fleece body for extra warmth and a comfortable fit. Elastic hems are partly lined with Galon® to prevent water from seeping in. Adjustable and replaceable silicone foot straps.

Polyurethane is used for its waterproof properties, either as a coating or as the main material in a garment, in the form of Galon®. We have been manufacturing waterproof garments since 1913 and soon discovered the benefits of Galon® garments, which include resistance to moisture and the ease with which they can be kept clean. Galon® is a brand name that now belongs to Didriksons, and the material is OEKO-TEX certified.

Polyester is a synthetic material used in garments that need to be water repellent, lightweight, breathable or able to transport moisture away from the body – whether working in unison or on their own, depending on the function of the garment. Take care of your garment, consider how you handle and store it. Here and on the inside of the garment you will find washing instructions to help you look after it in the best possible way. Wash only when needed and air or wipe garments over with a damp cloth in the first instance. Reactivate the impregnation treatment on waterproof garments by ironing them in accordance with the washing instructions. Repair tears with repair patches and contact us for spare parts. Not waterproof - This garment is not waterproof and will not repel rain.

Water-repellent - This garment is water-repellent and will repel light rain for a short length of time.

Waterproof - This garment has a water column between 5,000-10,000mm and is fully waterproof, the material as well as the construction.

Warm - This garment is warm and has insulating properties with a padding level between 100-140 g/m².

Below is a simple summary of which garments have insulating properties. The warmth scale is based on a number of factors such as weight of padding, type of padding, length, and construction of the garment.

Remember that everyone experiences heat differently and some people feel the cold more than others. This scale is intended to provide a pointer regarding how warm a garment is.

Shell - This is a shell garment and has no insulating properties.

Warm - This garment is warm and has insulating properties with a padding level between 100-140 g/m².

Extra warm - This garment is extra warm and has highly insulating properties with a padding level between 160-300 g/m².

This garment is extremely hard-wearing.

Below is a simple summary of the durability of our outerwear. How hard-wearing a garment is is based on the material’s durability, texture, and extra reinforcement. The durability is tested by rubbing the garment with sandpaper.

Hard-wearing - This garment is hard-wearing in relation to the material it is made from.

Very hard-wearing - This garment is made from a hard-wearing material.

Extremely hard-wearing - This garment is made from a strong, hard-wearing material with extra reinforcement in exposed areas.
