Element Unisex Jacket Galon®

Color: Coal black

Element is fully waterproof and windproof, made with stretch Galon® with taped seams. Great for outdoor activites, such as wearing on and around the sea, while fishing and boating. Mesh lining for an airy feel with ventilation under the yoke on the back. Element has a regular fit with a high collar in neoprene and a two-way zip front. The hood can be rolled into the collar and is depth and width-adjustable with a transparent peak. Preformed raglan sleeves for great mobility, velcro adjustments at the wrists and neoprene inner cuffs. Adjustable hem. The elbows are reinforced with hard-wearing Cordura. The jacket has two breast pockets and two side pockets with water-repellent zips, as well as two inside pockets. The jacket is adorned with reflectors.

Polyurethane is used for its waterproof properties, either as a coating or as the main material in a garment, in the form of Galon®. We have been manufacturing waterproof garments since 1913 and soon discovered the benefits of Galon® garments, which include resistance to moisture and the ease with which they can be kept clean. Galon® is a brand name that now belongs to Didriksons, and the material is OEKO-TEX certified.

Polyester is a synthetic material used in garments that need to be water repellent, lightweight, breathable or able to transport moisture away from the body – whether working in unison or on their own, depending on the function of the garment. Cotton is a natural fibre that comes from the cotton plant. The material is used in garments that need to be soft and flexible, eighter as 100% cotton or as a polyester/cotton blend, to make the garment more durable. For a specific garment's characteristics, see its product description.

Take care of your garment, consider how you handle and store it. Here and on the inside of the garment you will find washing instructions to help you look after it in the best possible way. Wash only when needed and air or wipe garments over with a damp cloth in the first instance. Reactivate the impregnation treatment on waterproof garments by ironing them in accordance with the washing instructions. Repair tears with repair patches and contact us for spare parts. This garment is waterproof.

Below is a simple summary of which garments are waterproof based on a three-level scale. We have formulated our waterproofness scale based on the waterproofness of the material, whether the garment has taped or welded seams, and how the garment is constructed.

Not waterproof - This garment is not waterproof and will not repel rain.

Water-repellent - This garment is water-repellent and will repel light rain for a short length of time.

Waterproof - This garment has a water column between 5,000-10,000mm and is fully waterproof, the material as well as the construction.

Shell - This is a shell garment and has no insulating properties.

Below is a simple summary of which garments have insulating properties. The warmth scale is based on a number of factors such as weight of padding, type of padding, length, and construction of the garment.

Remember that everyone experiences heat differently and some people feel the cold more than others. This scale is intended to provide a pointer regarding how warm a garment is.

Shell - This is a shell garment and has no insulating properties.

Warm - This garment is warm and has insulating properties with a padding level between 100-140 g/m².

Extra warm - This garment is extra warm and has highly insulating properties with a padding level between 160-300 g/m².
