During an hour-long bike ride in the rain, the thigh and knee areas of the base layer, made of technical fabric, were not waterproof, and the shins were also very damp to completely wet. The seat area remained pleasantly dry. The size is rather generous, but this makes it easier to put on with cycling shoes. The fabric and surface feel good. The pants are very comfortable to wear.
